Netholabs is a neuroscience and AI research company building biological foundation models grounded in large-scale neurobehavioral data. It designs custom hardware, high-density neural recording systems and tracking environments to capture petascale datasets, working towards whole brain emulation. About the role

Netholabs is building integrated human and non-human motion-capture and neurophysiological recording systems for both controlled lab studies and naturalistic, in-the-wild collection. This role owns the London capture site across lab and field settings: setting up and running the hardware, enforcing best-practice capture protocols, and ensuring every session executes reliably and reproducibly.

It is an operational role. You take defined capture standards and make them run at scale rather than designing the science.

Experimental operations

• Implement and maintain streamlined, minimal capture protocols.
• Operationalize best-practice standards for human motion capture.
• Prepare and run recording sessions, maintaining clear SOPs and documentation.

Hardware and systems

• Set up and maintain motion-capture and neurophysiological recording systems.
• Integrate all devices on a shared clock across video, kinematics and physiological streams.
• Troubleshoot signal, sync and capture-quality issues.
• Assemble and maintain multi-camera and multi-sensor rigs, and manage equipment inventory and calibration.

Infrastructure

• Oversee lab layout and capture-space setup.
• Maintain structured data storage, formats and backups.
• Coordinate procurement and supplier communication.

What they are looking for

• Experience with human motion capture, whether marker-based, markerless or IMU-suit systems.
• Multi-camera calibration and time synchronization, and strong hardware troubleshooting.
• Comfort with embedded systems and basic Python scripting.
• Valued: hand and finger kinematics capture, structured data formats such as HDF5, and physiological recording systems.

The role may require occasional travel and is offered on a fixed-term or full-time basis.
