Netholabs is a neuroscience and AI research company building biological foundation models grounded in large-scale neurobehavioral data. It designs custom hardware, high-density neural recording systems and tracking environments to capture petascale datasets, working towards whole brain emulation. About the role

Working under the Hardware Systems Engineer, this role supports day-to-day operations at the London capture site: prepping and running sessions, keeping the rigs and data in order, and making sure every capture follows established protocols. It is an execution role, running standards someone else has set, consistently.

Session support

• Prepare rigs and equipment ahead of recording sessions.
• Run recording sessions following established SOPs.
• Handle participant setup and guide subjects through capture.
• Log sessions accurately and flag anything anomalous.

Hardware and data

• Assist with rig assembly, teardown and routine maintenance.
• Help set up and check multi-camera and multi-sensor configurations.
• Perform routine calibration checks under guidance.
• Keep data storage, file naming and backups tidy and consistent.

Lab operations

• Maintain equipment inventory and flag restocking needs.
• Keep the capture space organized and session-ready.
• Support procurement and supplier logistics.

What they are looking for

• Organized, reliable and detail-oriented, comfortable working hands-on with hardware and cabling.
• Able to follow technical protocols precisely and document as you go.
• Good communication and comfort running sessions with participants.
• Valued: exposure to motion capture, video or physiological recording setups, and basic Python.

No prior motion capture or neuroscience experience is required.
