About the team

The In Vivo team sits at the core of Merge's experimental engine, designing, building and running scalable in vivo pipelines that support studies across multiple teams.

About the role

This is a highly hands-on position requiring independence, precision and consistent, reproducible execution across multiple concurrent studies. You will partner closely with Scientists to generate high-quality data, optimize workflows, and help build robust in vivo pipelines from the ground up.

What you will do

• Execute complex in vivo studies in rodents, including advanced surgical procedures and day-to-day study activities: scheduling, dosing, monitoring and data collection.
• Perform tissue collection and processing, and coordinate downstream analyses such as immunofluorescence, H&E staining and ELISAs.
• Troubleshoot experimental issues and contribute to protocol optimization and workflow improvements.
• Maintain accurate, audit-ready study documentation.
• Ensure strict adherence to animal welfare, regulatory and biosafety standards.

You might thrive here if you have

• A BS, BA or MS in biology, biochemistry, neuroscience or bioengineering, with 5+ years of relevant academic or industry experience.
• Strong hands-on in vivo expertise, particularly rodent stereotaxic surgery including handling, dosing, monitoring and post-operative care.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent studies.
