Precision Neuroscience is building a next-generation brain-computer interface for people living with neurological conditions. Its first product, Layer 7, is designed to help people with severe paralysis operate digital devices using only their thoughts. Founded in 2021, the company has raised more than $180 million and has initiated human trials with hospitals across the country.

About the role

This role designs and develops complex, reusable UX including real-time interactive analytics and rich information displays, and expands Precision's AI-forward, ML-centered cloud platform. It offers ownership of large-scale efforts from rapid prototyping through deployment, reporting into the Senior Director, Software Engineering.

What you will do

• Work with product management and the software team on front-end and back-end infrastructure serving as Precision's clinical UX and supporting cloud platform.
• Work with design and clinical teams on rendering engines for high-frequency physiological data analysis, both real-time and offline.
• Develop critical APIs and data models supporting the patient information and management platform.
• Perform rapid prototyping cycles to evaluate new concepts and de-risk technical pathways.
• Operate within an IEC 62304-compliant software development lifecycle.
• Provide training and support for field and clinical teams, with up to 10% travel.

What they are looking for

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years in full stack web and backend software engineering, with a track record of full-lifecycle development through production deployment.
• 1+ years working with AI tooling in a commercial setting.
• Experience with performance-centric or visualization-heavy applications, and work in a regulated space.

The role can be based in the Manhattan, Santa Clara, Chicago, Indianapolis or Addison office. Remote workers cannot be considered.
