About the role

This hands-on role serves as primary technical owner for Precision's MEMS fabrication facility, focused on direct maintenance, troubleshooting and hardware optimization of critical fab equipment. It suits an engineer who thrives in the cleanroom, ensuring maximum uptime through technical mastery of vacuum systems, RF generators and complex mechanical assemblies to ISO cleanroom standards.

What you will do

• Perform expert-level service, repair and troubleshooting of complex mechanical, electrical and pneumatic or hydraulic systems inside and outside the cleanroom.
• Execute preventive maintenance procedures and identify ways to increase tool uptime through continuous improvement.
• Lead physical installation of new equipment and perform hardware modifications improving process stability.
• Read and interpret complex schematics to diagnose root causes of tool downs quickly.
• Log technical actions and hardware changes in the CMMS to maintain an accurate health record for every tool.
• Evaluate and test replacement parts for compatibility and tool performance.

What they are looking for

• A BS in a technical field such as electronics or engineering, or equivalent military training.
• 4+ years hands-on maintaining, repairing and troubleshooting semiconductor or microfabrication equipment in a cleanroom.
• Expertise in preventive maintenance and asset reliability applied to cleanroom standards.
• Proficiency in CMMS, reading technical drawings and PLC troubleshooting.
• Deep understanding of contamination control principles for the fab environment.
• Willingness to become an ERT member is required.

The work involves gowning, lifting up to 35 pounds, and working with specialty gases, wet chemicals and high-voltage systems. This position is based in the Addison, Texas office.
