Beacon Biosignals works on precision medicine for the brain through two business lines: a Life Sciences platform offering at-home EEG for the clinical development of neurological and psychiatric therapeutics, and a Diagnostics business combining EEG and cardiopulmonary signals for at-home sleep and CNS assessments. The company has hubs in Boston, New York and Paris and works asynchronously.

About the role

This role supports development of Beacon's EEG and home sleep test systems, covering hardware characterization and verification tests, firmware unit tests, integration tests, system integration, root cause analysis and documentation.

What you will do

• Develop and execute device testing under the quality management system.
• Create test plans, protocols and scripts for embedded systems from design specifications.
• Maintain test procedures, fixtures and equipment, and run functional, integration, system and regression testing.
• Work with hardware and firmware engineers on troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, CE and 60601 requirements, and implement test automation.

What they are looking for

• A bachelor's degree in engineering, with 5+ years of professional experience post-BS or 3+ years post-MS.
• Technical writing across specifications, test plans, protocols and reports, and the ability to read electrical schematics.
• RTOS embedded software experience and Python scripting.
• Familiarity with Git, JIRA and GitHub; medical device design controls preferred.

The role is remote-flexible with roughly three days a week in the Boston office.
