Beacon Biosignals works on precision medicine for the brain through two business lines: a Life Sciences platform offering at-home EEG for the clinical development of neurological and psychiatric therapeutics, and a Diagnostics business combining EEG and cardiopulmonary signals for at-home sleep and CNS assessments. About the role

This role covers biosignal algorithm development across the full lifecycle: gathering specifications, curating data, development, and maintaining algorithms in production.

What you will do

• Select the appropriate methodology for each problem, including knowing when deep learning is unnecessary.
• Enhance internal ML tooling and refine codebases for reusability.
• Implement best practices around documentation and testing so implementations are user-friendly and well covered.
• Present findings to stakeholders and support client-facing projects demonstrating algorithm impact.
• Collaborate with data scientists, neuroscientists, engineers and clinicians.

What they are looking for

• 4+ years of industry ML and deep learning experience, preferably in regulated health sciences.
• Proficiency in PyTorch or a comparable framework, plus strong digital signal processing and statistics.
• Familiarity with biosignals, medical imaging or time-series datasets.
• Software engineering practice across testing, CI/CD, version control and documentation.
• Knowledge of current deep learning advances including transformers and large-scale modelling.
